Latin triumph

Year 10 student, Arcadio Fernandez has won the National Latin Reading Competition, with his powerful performance of a section from the Aeneid. This is the second year in a row that Arcadio has triumphed. Last year he won the Junior Section and this year, the Intermediate age group. A quite astounding feat. Well done Arcadio. We are proud of you!

Well done to our year 2 footballers and Alex in year 3 for their success in the football fixture against Park Street School. With a closely fought match and excellent play on both sides, their 5-4 victory was really well deserved. Super playing from all.

Duke of Edinburgh Practice Walk

Congratulations Year 10 for completing the first stage of the Duke of Edinburgh Expedition. On a wet day, 14 enthusiastic and committed students spent 8 hours walking through South Cambridgeshire countryside. Being the first trip, there were occasions when students got lost, but everyone returned back to school safely, and, justifiably, proud of themselves.

Maths GCSE results

We are celebrating some fantastic maths GCSE results this week! Congratulations to all the students who achieved so well. We are delighted with the number of top grades. An impressive number of A and A* grades, testament to the hard work of many and the excellence of teaching. Well done, year 10 and 11s.

Pupils perform at National Drama Competition

Students from year 9 and from our Junior School performed in Surrey on Saturday at the ISA National Drama Competition. Alex in Wonderland and A Frog too Far were our entries and both were performed with skill and enthusiasm. Preliminary adjudication feedback was extremely positive and we look forward to final results in two weeks time. Well done to all students and to our two Directors, Ms Coombe and Miss Sumner.

World Book Day

It was a delight to see so many amazing costumes on World Book Day. Children and staff were so creative, it was truly fantastic. The Cambridge News came to take some photographs of our younger children and in the Seniors, during the Special Assembly, staff and students shared excerpts from their favourite books. Congratulations to Ottie and Oliver for their excellent performances in the Nationals today. Up against some outstanding competition, both students performed really strongly and we are very proud of them for getting so far.

Go Karting Competition
