Global Perspectives

Global Perspectives IGCSE is a ground-breaking new cross-curricular subject which allows learners to develop the ability to think critically about a range of global issues where there is always more that one point of view. Additionally students learn how to investigate and reflect on current affairs which take place all over the world.  In this multi-disciplinary subject, students enhance their abilities to plan, research, collaborate with various parties, evaluate, reason, think critically and ultimately to communicate in an effective manner. 

The course comprises an individual portfolio, group work project as well as a written exam. There is a strong element of personal choice as learners can choose from a range of 16 key areas of study. In completing the course the students gain a sense of achievement in having been given the opportunity to learn independently and collaboratively whilst broadening their knowledge and understanding of the differing perspectives that are apparent around the globe.
