City of Cambridge

Cambridge is the county town of Cambridgeshire and home to the prestigious University of Cambridge, founded in 1209. The University of Cambridge is one of the top five in the world and includes the Cavendish Laboratory, King’s College Chapel and the Cambridge University Library.

Cambridge combines a proud academic tradition stretching back 800 years, with modern shops, restaurants, theatres and sports facilities. Cambridge is on the River Cam in eastern England about 50 miles (80km) north of London, with a 45-minute journey time to London.

Cambridge International School is located just a short bus ride away from many of the inspiring, elegant colleges of the world-renowned Cambridge University. The many museums and art galleries inspire locals and tourists every day and the variety and quality of life within the progressive city is evident in every corner. The variety of shopping and gastronomy is truly world class and the many parks and green spaces are a reminder of the many options one has on the doorstep in a world leading academic and cultural city.

Children at Cambridge International School benefit from all the city has to offer, there are frequent visits to museums, galleries and theatres, as well as the many sports and extra-curricular activities undertaken on a daily basis.

Because of the obvious draw to the city of Cambridge, housing prices are some of the steepest in the country and it can be hard to find a house, let alone a good deal.  If you are moving to Cambridge and would like some help from a local relocation agent who has nearly 15 years experience, then we would highly recommend Clare Miller, from Relocate Cambridge.
