Model united Nations Conference

Year 10 and 11 spend weekend debating global issues

Our eight Model United Nations delegates experienced three fantastic days at Cambridge MUN 2020!  It all kicked off on the Friday afternoon of the 6th March with a lobbying session.  Each delegate had to present their country’s position on various topics, and every committee had to decide which of these matters would be debated in greater detail the next day.  Our students represented Russia and discussed the refugee crisis, global deforestation, childhood obesity, international shipment of waste and disarmament, to give a few examples.

As the debates took place, students learned about diplomacy, international relations, the United Nations, and they developed a deeper understanding into current world issues.
