11 Oct The RHS Big Soup Share
The Royal Horticultural Society Big Soup Share is a chance to celebrate work done during the Gardening lesson, by harvesting our crops and whizzing them up into a delicious soup and sharing it together for lunch.
Our CIS garden provided us with courgettes, tomatoes and parsley, which students planted earlier in the year, and extra vegetables and ingredients were contributed by the school community. During the Gardening lesson this week, students washed and chopped fresh produce which went into the big pot on Friday. Topped with crispy croutons, and served with crusty bread, the soup was enjoyed by all on Friday at lunchtime in the Hall.
